2. Episode 41 JAN 15, 2012
Dr. Lawrence Kruass

Dr. Krauss is a theoretical physicist at Arizona State University where he is the director of that school’s “Origins Project”. His research interests include the interface between elementary particle physics and cosmology, where his studies include the early universe, the nature of dark matter, general relativity and neutrino astrophysics. He is the author of, among others, The Physics of Star Trek, Atom: A Single Oxygen Atom’s Journey from the Big Bang, to Life on Earth…and Beyond, and Quantum Man. His newest book, A Universe From Nothing, was just released in January of 2012. Dr. Krauss joined us to talk about physics, cosmology, cosmological arguments.

We’ve had the pleasure of having Dr. Krauss join us a second time, this time to discuss his book A Universe From Nothing. What is “nothing”? How do we know what it’s like? How do we know the universe is the product of an initial state of “nothing”? He has the answers and he’s going to give them to us…
